I think the best solution is to talk with him. I know, that doesn't sound like a good advice. But try asking him, why he acts in this why. If he understands, that he don't need to. Try to get to know him. Show him, that he can help your system instead of making everything harder. And that he's accepted here. It would probably be really hard, but I know from experience, that acceptation makes people change. /g

We can't really get him to change because he's not a persecutor who does what he does to help the system and pretty much wants the entire system *especially the host* to be miserable. We think he might be a sidesystem, created by the host's past feelings of him when gore used to care about him, and gore's current feelings towards him. We've tried being nice to him, we tried to be accepting, and we tried to tell him that he doesn't have to hurt the system but he refuses to change. /lu Phoenix uses malicitor as a self-identification term, and because of what malicitors do, we can't really change him. /gen

Phoenix is a sidesystem. Our system therapist is currently working with him to integrate Phoenix B. They both use the same name, so we're using Phoenix A for the Phoenix that's trying to help the system, and Phoenix B who wants to make our lives a living hell. -Glitch (they/glitch)

Hey, Aaron (I think that's what you want to be called) this is Phoenix A. I'm so sorry for what Phoenix B did to you... I know you probably hate even interacting with me but I genuinely feel absolutely horrible for what he did. I can't imagine myself doing something like that and the fact I let that other thing in my head take control while we were in innerworld makes me feel even more horrible. And I apologize on behalf of Phoenix B and all that he's done to you and the rest of the system. I don't expect you to forgive me. -Phoenix A

Really sorry you're going through this. Unfortunately, fusion doesn't work unless both alters are willing, so it might be a long process. I'm glad you have professional help with this. Even though Phoenix B identifies as a malicitor, it's important to remember that he's still a part of your brain, and harming him in response to what he's doing won't be productive because it can easily mess with you guys overall. I believe I saw a comment at some point before suggesting locking him up - that's not generally helpful, unfortunately.
