-tien is a suffix which describes the function of a system opposed to its origin, similarly to the -based suffix. A primary difference is that users of the -tien suffix must support all system origins, including Tulpagenic systems.[1] As a result of this, many plurals prefer the -based suffix.

The term was coined by Tumblr user hive-hearted on April 19th, 2020.[1] No flag has since been made.
