Praesigenic is an origin-type term and a subset of quoigenic that does not state the origin of the system, instead meaning "I don’t have to tell you my system origin, that’s for me to know and for you to not make your business". Systems that use praesigenic as an origin term may use it for safety, out of spite, or for any other reason. The prefix is likely derived from the Latin word for protection.
