Parogenic systems are systems formed by free will. This includes tulpamancy, some soulbonding, and thoughtforms. It was coined as an origin term by the Wanderheart Collective[1].
Types of Parogenic Systems[]
Tulpa Systems[]
As the members of tulpamancy systems are typically created consciously, with the exception of accidental tulpas[2], tulpas can count under the parogenic label. As with all origin labels, no system is required to count themselves as a specific origin, but it is a label that has been adopted within the community by some members.
Soulbonding[]
Due to the purposeful nature of most soulbonding and most soulbonders performing the action out of free will, the process can be considered parogenic[3].
Thoughtform[]
As thoughtforms are explicitly purposefully created system members, they can be included under this origin label. Thoughtform is often used as a non-appropriative alternative to tulpa[4].
Senpia Systems[]
Senpias are headmates that are intentionally created via Senpiamancy the term is used as an alternative to tulpa/Tulpamancy by people within the tulpa community with physcological beliefs on the creation of their headmates.
Controversy[]
Due to the controversy and allegations of racism surrounding Western tulpas[5], there is also controversy associated with the origin label parogenic, as it includes Western tulpamancy as one possible type of parogenic systems. The origin is also controversial due to many system exclusionists believing that purposely creating a system is disrespectful to those suffering from dissociative disorders.
The term willogenic was anonymously coined as an alternative to parogenic for systems purposely created that do not wish to associate themselves with the tulpamancy community.
